I love Germany! Nature, shopping, bakery, historical and trendy places, castles. Germany has the most. My love for Germany is special. It was my first country which I visited on my own at the age of 18. That's why Germany is something unforgettable. Still I have much to explore. My last trip was with my friend and I believe its a great weekend trip just 2.5 hours from Holland.
Since my friend had a shoe mission, this was rather a shopping weekend then a cultural one. Still we managed to combine both. This is what we did:
Driving to Wuppertal with a stopover in Mulheim for our shoe mission and eating curry wurst.
At Wuppertal continueing our shoe mission but taking the Schwebebahn. A schwebebahn is a monorail since 1901 Wuppertal's essential means of transport.
Later on, having diner at Scoozi, an Italian restaurant at Herzogstraße. This street is full of restaurants where you can choose from many cuisines. For just €30-, per person a night we stayed in Also Hotel. We did not book breakfast for the purpose of grabbing one on our way back home.
So we passed an historic place called Langenberg. According me the best part of our trip. In the morning we wandered in der Altstadt, the old part of the village with typical historical houses. Above a konditorei we had our breakfast on a lazy Sunday. Perfect! Maybe you can imagine why I love Germany. This easygoing weekend I can highly recommend.
